Fultec Job Opportunity - Junior Technician

Fultec Systems Ltd, is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate to fill the post of Junior Technician. The Jr Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues on PCs and laptops, performing repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on various computer systems, installing, configuring, and testing new computer equipment and software, providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns, and maintaining accurate records of service requests and repairs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on PCs and laptops. 

2.      Perform repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on various computer systems. 

3.      Install, configure, and test new computer equipment and software. 

4.      Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns. 

5.      Maintain accurate records of service requests and repairs. 

6.      Assisting in setting up and maintaining local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.

7.      Diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues.

8.      Monitoring network performance and reporting issues to senior staff.

9.      Providing first-line technical support to users via phone, email, or in person.

10.   Assisting with backups, data recovery, and basic cybersecurity measures.

11.   Basic printer trouble shooting a fix.

 

Educational Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   

·        An associate degree, in Information Technology. 

·        Relevant certification, minimum: CompTIA ITF+.  

·        Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role.  

·        Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components.  

·        Knowledge of SAP to retrieve & update customer information.  

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills; must exercise tact and diplomacy. 

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to juggle several tasks and complete in a specific time frame.  

·        Good interpersonal skills.   

·        Critical thinking /problem-solving skills.    

·        Attention to detail.    

·        Work well with little or no supervision.   

·        Must be highly dedicated and motivated.  

·        Willing to complete courses to enhance knowledge, skills and experience in the position  

·        Valid driver’s license (is an asset).  

·        Bi-lingual.
